Ross on Wye will be our first location. Known for being a charming market town located in the county of Herefordshire, England. Known for its picturesque setting and historical significance, it sits on the banks of the River Wye and is often regarded as the birthplace of British tourism. Here’s a detailed look at Ross-on-Wye:
History
- Market Town Roots: The town’s history dates back to the Norman era. Its market charter was granted in 1107, making it a hub for trade and commerce in the region.
- Tourism Beginnings: Ross-on-Wye played a pivotal role in the rise of tourism in Britain, thanks to the 18th-century Reverend William Gilpin. His book, Observations on the River Wye (1770), inspired visitors to explore the natural beauty of the Wye Valley.
- Historical Sites: The town features several historical landmarks, such as St. Mary’s Church, which dates back to the 13th century, and the Market House, a striking 17th-century building in the town centre.

Our second location will be Chipping Campden. Known for being an historic market town in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, England. Renowned for its beautiful architecture, rich history, and vibrant cultural scene, it is one of the most visited towns in the region.

- Arts and Crafts Movement: Chipping Campden became a hub for the Arts and Crafts Movement in the early 20th century, thanks to C.R. Ashbee, a prominent designer and craftsman who moved his Guild of Handicraft to the town in 1902.
